Under the patronage and presence of His Excellency the Dean of Library Affairs, Dr. Essa bin Khalaf Al-Dosari, the Deanship’s Vice Deans and the staff, the Deanship of Library Affairs at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj organized yesterday, Sunday, in cooperation with Naseej Company, a workshop entitled “Medad Platform” in the central library on the university campus, within the framework of efforts The development efforts made by the Deanship in order to improve the skills and expertise needed for its employees more effectively, which enhances the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the faculty and students, and pushes the wheel of digital transformation in line with the vision and mission of the university.
The workshop began with an introductory explanation of the Medad platform for library services and its contents, and the most important features of the platform and the services it provides to libraries. The vision and strategic objectives of the Deanship, then opened the dialogue sessions of the workshop to discuss the pivotal topics about the Medad platform, and then opened the way to answer the attendees’ inquiries about the services provided by the platform.
It is noteworthy that the Medad platform enables universities, colleges, higher education institutions, government agencies, and companies to align their academic, administrative, training and office procedures with the latest technologies and support their initiatives towards digital transformation, paving the way for creativity and institutional innovation. And a modern technical architecture that harnesses the latest concepts, technologies and open source platforms through a cloud service managed using best practices and subject to the highest standards of protection and operational reliability.
