1- Developing library collections in a balanced manner in all scientific disciplines, by providing modern books that support the educational process, in coordination with faculty members, researchers and students.
2- Contribute seriously and effectively to the process of selecting sources of information in close cooperation with the responsible selection committee, and provide complete bibliographic data on these sources.
3- Monitoring collections evaluation and validation processes.
4- Communicate with local and international publishers and follow up on the latest publications in all disciplines and display them on the deanship's website to assist faculty members, researchers and students in the selection process.
5- Receiving book requests and reviewing them on the deanship's index, reviewing publishers' bills and matching the requested books.
6- Receiving books that come to the library through purchase, gift or exchange. And then distribute it to libraries.
7- Follow up on supply orders and prepare lists of books in preparation for securing them.
8- Cataloging and classification of books, periodicals and others documents according to the Dewey Decimal System plan and Anglo-American cataloging rules through the Symphony program and following up on the companies that do this work.
9- Paste the bar code and tags on the books and follow the companies that do this work.
10- Put the seals of the deanship on the books.
11-Preparing lists of supplied books and sending them to branch libraries.
